Edward Vanmarsenille

Edward Vanmarsenille (Sint-Truiden, °1984) studied organ and composition at the at the Royal Conservatoire of Liège with Anne Froidebise (organ) and Joseph Gilet (Composition) as his teachers. Some years later, he continued studying Harpsichord in the class of Ewald Demeyere at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp and in the class of Michael Borgstede at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne (Prof. Michael Borgstede). As such he also had the privilege of working with Joris Verdin to further refine his organ and harmonium skills, and with Marie-Anne Dachy for harpsichord.

Edward is organiste-titulaire at the Collegiale Mary Mother of Jesus church in Sint-Truiden. He often plays concerts at home and abroad and he has made several cd-recordings.

His broad eclectic taste allows him to eagerly play music from different eras. Next to being a performing musician both on organ and harpsichord, Edward is composer and teaches Classical composition, Organ Improvisation and Basso Continuo at the Royal Conservatoire of Liège and harpsichord at the conservatoire of Verviers.
